We recently stayed at the Strawberry Suite and were very impressed. Heather and Winsley really want you feel welcome from the moment you arrive. Our room was very comfortable and the fire place was nice on a cold snowy night. As for breakfast, You have to see it for yourself. When we are in the Oshawa area again, We will definitely give Heather a call.

Stayed in the 'Garden Suite' for 3 nights ..... very spacious and spotless accommodation; one large bed, two sofas and large flat screen TV. Large bathroom, coffee maker and fridge. Chocolate coated strawberries and cheese and crackers in fridge to welcome us ....YUMMY! Room lead out onto private patio and use of hot tub in garden. (Very relaxing). Breakfasts were made to accommodate personal tastes/allergies and all varied day to day. Yummy. The table was set beautifully each day on patio area overlooking the garden. Heather was a great host and nothing was too much trouble for her. We both agreed that this was the best bed and breakfast we have ever stayed at, and all for the equivalent of only 30 pound sterling per person per night. The accommodation is handily located close to the train station in Oshawa which allows regular direct trains into downtown Toronto. Couldn't fault the accommodation or the hosts.

What a find this was!! We enjoyed our spacious room and the decoration of it was very charming. Our breakfast was superb and we were able to enjoy it, with another visiting family, on the screened in porch which was wonderful. We certainly would recommend this place to people staying in Oshawa and we hope that we are able to stay here again ourselves.

This is one of the loveliest bed & breakfast place where we have stayed over the past years. The spacious room was very clean and quiet, and the decoration and atmosphere very elegant, yet cozy and charming, which made us feel right at home. The hosts were very nice, and provided an exceptional service. And let's not forget the fabulous breakfast we were served! We would definitely not hesitate to return to this B&B. It is definitely worth it!

The room was very clean, the service was above and beyond the norm, and the food was fabulous. The friendliness extended to there guests from Heather and Winsley, was second to none, giving our experience that special personal touch. We would definatly recommend this B&B to anyone.

Wow, we cant wait to come back and visit family in the area so we can stay here again! After a wonderful dinner with family we returned to this cozy place for a movie night with our teenage daughter who fell in love with your house {she wants to move in}. The decor is beautiful, the atmosphere so warm and inviting, breakfast was 5 star and Heather and Winsley were delightful. We also enjoyed the movie selection available, and look forward to our next family get together so we can stay here again!

On the road from Montreal to Niagara Falls on the banks of Lake Ontario before reaching Toronto, , The town of Oshawa and the most memorable bed and breakfast! On arrival you will be charmed by your hostess, then, in your room you will fel like you are at home (nice furnitures and fittings) Last but not least, you will enjoy the menu choice including the large home made breakfast cooked by Heather. In a nutshell, a must see stopover on road 401!

If you ever need a place to stay in Oshawa this is the place. It is more than 5 star. Our room and breakfast the next morning were out of this world. Heather and Winsley really made us feel at home. We attended a wedding at the Parkwood Estates in Oshawa which is just a short cab ride from this B&B. We arrived to find cheese and crackers waiting for us in the fridge in the room and chocolate covered strawberry's. Just a wonderful unexpected touch. I would highly recommend this B&B and would stay here again without question. Thanks again to Heather and Winsley

I searched long and hard for accommodation in the Toronto area that I would be happy to bring my father to for an 80th birthday celebration trip. we were planning an eight day stay...

Well, that we were looking to be "happy" turned out to be a huge understatement of what we experienced!! We were overjoyed at the warmth of the hospitality shown by Heather and Winsley - we could not possibly have found anywhere that came close to our wonderful experience at Strawberry Suite.

Heather's willingness to help with our planning, to answer our never ending questions and every morning, to surprise us with exquisite, five star breakfasts was worth the trip in itself!

The rooms were a delight, complete with tea/coffee making facilities and a microwave.

Do not hesitate to make contact with Heather or Winsley in preparation for your next Oshawa / Toronto trip.

We underline the testimonial of Deborah. We met this young lady in this relaxing B&B; had every morning a nice conversation with a very tastfull breakfast. Indeed, for the hosts Heather & Winsley is not just a business. They really like what they do, and they do that very, very well. Further, Oshawa gives you the opportunity to travel fast (and without delay) to Toronto. Just take the Go-train and in 30 minutes you are in the middle of Toronto-downtown. We did that twice and had a lot of time to visit Toronto without any rush. The train is going often and also going back late. So it's easy. Don't forget to go to Unionville (easy 25 minutes by car), it's a lovely 'flowerfull' little town, with very nice shops and restaurants. When we get back in that area, we sure come back to Heather and Winsley; they give you a really good feeling, if you are in your own home.

From the first email I received from Heather, I knew I had made the right choice, The location is ideal for exploring Oshawa and surronding areas, The B&B itself was breathtaking, from the moment I stepped thru the front door, to entering my room (suite dreams)everything was perfect, the room is beautifully decorated and there is a lovely ensuite bathroom..The breakfasts each morning were fabulous and variety great, we sat on the deck each morning for breakfast which was great listening and watching the variety of birds. Heather & Winsley are truly great people, who made me feel most welcome in their home, and always made sure you were well fed and taken care of...nothing was ever too much for them...I would recommend Strawberry Suites in a heartbeat,if you are looking for a home away from home, and wouldn;t hesitate staying with them next time I visit Oshawa.

Strawberry Suites – a synonym for hospitality! If you are expecting a B&B accommodation, you will be overwhelmed by the cordiality of Heather and Winsley. Both are wonderful hosts who will make you feel at home on your arrival. We were so lucky to stay for a couple of days in two lovely decorated, spacious guestrooms in perfect harmony. Comfortable bed, fireplace, books, games and anything else you might need. And breakfast? Not THE breakfast, but celebrating a variety of delicious specialties – alternating each day and always surprisingly. We were welcomed every morning with freshly prepared delicacies and time enough to enjoy it. We felt ashamed when it was a little too much for us. Heather and Winsley: Thank you so much for your generous and thoughtful hospitality. A recommendation to German travellers: Wenn Ihnen Geniessen wichtiger ist als satt werden am Buffet, dann sollten Sie hier stilvolle Gemütlichkeit buchen!

I have stayed at the Strawberry Suite Bed and Breakfast twice now, and continue to look forward to staying there again in the future. The meals were fantastic, the suite itself was so peaceful and relaxing that I did not want to leave. The location is perfect for shopping or getting to and from the college/university. The hosts, Heather and Winsley, are extremely nice people that really go out of their way to may their guests feel welcome. I will continue to recommend this B.& B. to all of my friends.

- Rod & Brig, March 27, 2011

I stayed in the Strawberry Suite between the February 21st until March 2nd and I was impressed by the facilities that the bed and breakfast provided. Heather and Winsley were very welcoming and the breakfasts were delicious. The room itself was very homely and overall I thought the suite offered exceptional value.

I would definitely stay here again.

Thank You Heather & Winsley

Heather and Winsley were wonderful and friendly hosts. We stayed in the Garden Suite, and it was just what we needed. The suite is beautifully decorated and the hot tub was so relaxing - the mix of the hot water with snow around - priceless! The gourmet breakfasts were the extra added value! I couldn't believe what a wonderful cook Heather is, I think I gained a few pounds from that week! The suite fridge was very useful and the fireplace and big screen tv with surround sound, lap of luxury! The next time we stay in the GTA, we'll be at Strawberry Suites.

- Kathleen and Will, March 2, 2011

Heather and Winsley operate a delightful B&B in a new home in northeast Oshawa that I can most highly recommend. The downstairs accommodation at Strawberry Suite offers a delightful fireplace, hot tub, and 60" flat-screen TV for watching any of the great DVDs they have (including personal favourites Firefly and Serenity!). The decoration and finish of the space is wonderful, the bathroom well appointed, and the chocolate dipped strawberries were much appreciated after a long car ride in. I had considered a hotel for my one night stay with my 13 year old son but decided to stay at Strawberry Suite. I am delighted I did ... Heather and Winsley are wonderful, friendly hosts and make you feel at home. Highly recommended.

- David Janik-Jones, from Waterloo, Ontario January 18, 2011

It all began with Heather's comforting voice at the other end of the phone when we called to say we would be arriving later than we planned. We arrived to find a warm and inviting sanctuary filled with delicious aromas and taste sensations, i.e, the chocolate covered strawberries were to die for. The delicious breakfast each day was served in a gorgeous diningroom with beautiful ambiance. The fireplace, the warm and cozy bed, the spacious suite, a surprising variety of books and dvds. In only two days we truly felt like we were at a home away from home. We have already recommended this B&B to our friends and would encourage anyone reading this to do so as well. Heather and Winsley were amazing hosts who seemed to anticipate our every need.

- Terry and Deborah Dewan, from London, Ontario December 13, 2010

Heather and Winsley have a very beautiful, comfortable home and that's exactly how they make you feel, at home and spoiled! Such a convenient location to Toronto too, an excellent place to stay if you’re visiting as a tourist or heading down for business. I would definitely recommend staying at Strawberry Suites. Thank you so much for your wonderful hospitality!

- Lori, from Ottawa December 7, 2010

We stayed at Strawberry Suite Bed & Breakfast for 10 days in September 2010. We were so lucky we found this B&B and enjoyed every minute of it. We experienced such a warm and loving care from Heather & Winsley. We will remember the variety of the amazing breakfasts, every day freshly made by Heather. Our room was very, very spacious with a hot tub outside. We really loved staying here and will recommend this B&B to anyone. We will make sure, next time we are in Canada, that we can book Strawberry Suite again. Heather & Winsley thank you so much again for a more than wonderful time! For every Dutch person that is looking for the best place to stay in the Toronto area: boek beslist deze B&B, want dit is werkelijk een ongelooflijke ervaring, die je eens in je leven moet hebben meegemaakt!

Strawberry Suite Bed & Breakfast is a beautiful place where spend one or more nights! Heather and Winsley are wonderful hosts. We were at Strawberry Suite Bed & Breakfast on 26th August 2010 on our way back to Toronto Airport. The room was very warm and comfortable. Heather prepared a delicious and tasting breakfast. We had our breakfast in the gazebo. Very relaxing. We were very lucky to find such a marvelous Bed & Breakfast. We really recommend to anyone traveling to Oshawa to stay at Strawberry Suite Bed & Breakfast. Thank you very much Heather and Winsley!

We were at Strawberry Suite Bed & Breadkfast the 24th August 2010 on our trip through Ontario and Quebec. We stayed at Oshawa on our way back to Toronto Airport and enjoyed a wonderful night at this B&B. Furniture was cosy and details were cared for.We had a wonderful cheese and crackers dish and little chocolate cupcakes.

Heather and Winsley told us about everything we wanted to know in the village. They were very nice and helpful.

Next morning a marvellous breakfast was waiting for us in the gazebo. Tasty!!!

Hope to go back one day.

We were on trip in Canada for the first time in June. It was a real pleasure to stay at this nice house. This B&B is the most beautiful and confortable place we've seen . If you are near Oshawa, don't hesitate a minute to choose this B&B : the hospitality is great and we have really enjoyed the breakfeast too. Thanks a lot !

Our recent stay at the Strawberry Suite B&B was great. From the yummy treats left for us in our room, to the generosity of our hosts, to the fantastic breakfast spread, and even a Father's Day gift for my husband, Heather and Winsley far surpassed our expectations, and truly made our stay very enjoyable. Nice accommodations, good location, thoughtful hosts, and a delicious breakfast - a great experience! Thank you Heather and Winsley for opening your home to us. If we travel to the area again, we'll be sure to stay at the Strawberry Suite!

We were on a tour of Ontario when we stayed at Strawberry Suite. We have stayed in many B&Bs, but this was one of the two best ever. Fantastic room, breakfast, and conversation. Very highly recommended. Rick

We came down to Oshawa for a friend's wedding and stayed at Strawberry Suites.

I've stayed at other Bed and Breakfasts and can honestly say this was the best experience I've ever had. Heather and Winsley were so welcoming and warm throughout our stay. They provided treats for us when we arrived, provided quality and comfortable ammenities and were very accomodating to ensure that we a wonderful stay.

The breakfast was a feast for only the two of us. The jam was made from scratch, the bacon and potatos were sizzling and kept warm on a heater, perfectly ripened fruit and strawberries, yogurt, homemade scones, fresh juice... WOW.

After we left, I discovered that I left my blazer and camera with them! I called them up and they were very accomodating to help make arrangements for me to pick it up from Heather's sister who works in Toronto instead of me having to drive back to Oshawa.

It was a great experience and I thank them for everything.

Extraordinary! This is the first word that comes to mind when I think about my stay at Strawberry Suite. Heather and Winsley were such wonderful hosts, so welcoming, they really made me feel like I was "home". And not "home" as I now live, which is a very busy life with small children that look to me for their every need, and a hectic work schedule. They took me back to "home" when My needs were taken care of, when my mom home-cooked meals--there was no McDonalds breakfast here, to a room decorated with whimiscal ornaments--even a toy doll house much like the one I used to have! My stay here with a friend was truly a relaxing one, with time spent in the hot tub, snacking on goodies that Heather prepared, and sharing in great conversation with my hosts. What an extraordinary stay, I will be back again!

We had to make a quick trip to Whitby for a family wedding! The Strawberry Suite Bed and Breakfast was the perfect respite for the weary traveller! The decorations in the private home showed love and caring for those who entered and the hospitality was second to none. We even received directions to the wedding site with muffins given upon our retreat back home. I would recommend this home to anyone unconditionally. The Breakfast was super and had everything one would want, lovingly prepared by Heather and Winsley. Thanks again and we will be recommending your home to anyone going by that we know!
